Institution Industry Cell (IIC)

An active Institution Industry Cell (IIC) is functioning in the Department of Business Administration. The function of the Cell is to promote close interaction between academic field and management professionals. The purpose of the Cell is to find out the gap between need of the industry and end product of the institute. The Cell is the bridge between the industry, the real world and the Institute. Industrial exposure of Faculties is very much helpful to guide students about latest industrial practices. Industries are able to know recent developments and inventions in the fields of Management and implement projects for technologically driven economy.

The objectives of Institution Industry Cell (IIC)

The IIC is established in the Department of Business Administration with following major objectives:  To evolve educational programmes which are consistent with the broad requirements of the industry and which can give rise to management personnel capable of coping up with the accelerating pace of the technological development.  To create adequate facilities of updating knowledge of professionals and technologists to meet growth and developmental needs of the industry.  To coordinate the requirements and developmental activities to meet those requirements profitably.

The functions of Institution Industry Cell

1. To give industrial exposure to Faculty Members and students, thus enabling them to tune their knowledge to cope with the industrial culture.
2. To assist the Department in organizing workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industry.
3. Encouraging management professionals from industries to visit institution to deliver lectures.
4. Participation of experts from industries in curriculum development
5. To organize industrial visits for Faculty Members and students.
6. To encourage Faculty Members to use their expertise in solving the problems faced by the industries, thus creating opportunity for consultancy.
7. To organize on the job training for the students.
8. To identify the areas for Executive Development Programmes in the areas of recent technological advances.
9. To assist the Department in establishing rapport with industries for taking up mini and major projects.
10. To assist the Training and Placement Division.
11. Visit of industry executives and practicing management professionals to the Institute.
12. Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute and Industry to bring the two sides emotionally and strategically closer.
